Amanda completed her schooling at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School in Boulder, Colorado. She then traveled to Vienna, Austria to study intensively the techniques of the Old Masters as taught by Michael Fuchs.
She was then introduced to Michael's father Ernst Fuchs in 1999. Ernst then invited her to work with him on various projects as a painting assistant which has carried on till today as well as involving extensive work in the Apocalypse Chapel in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Amanda obtained studio space in the historic WUK cultural center, and became integrally involved in organizing events.
In 2007 she joined the stable of artists represented by Galerie 10, placing her in the company of Ernst Fuchs, Arik Brauer, Rudolf Hausner, Anton Lehmden, Wolfgang Hutter, Helmut Kand, Manfred Deix.
Amanda belongs to the current generation of artists influenced by the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism owing to her education with the Fuchs family.
On her search for a broader audience and resonance for her art, she has discovered a thriving scene on the west coast of California and will be 'laying' the next series of work in her new ivory tower in downtown Los Angeles in the historic 725 spring St. building above the HIVE Gallery.
She continues to create in segments between Vienna, Austria and Los Angeles.... with middle stations of most importance, such as Burning Man 09 (this year exhibiting in the Evolutionary Temple).
